The Fourth of July in Seattle can only mean one thing, Seattle Summer Fourth! And this year, the celebration will be twice as big with celebrations at both Gasworks Park and South Lake Union Park.
Both locations will feature tons of classic summer activities like egg and spoons races, tug-o-war, sack races, and a hula hoop contest, not to mention other kid friendly activities including a bounce house and the Gravitron Gyroscope. You are welcome to bring your own food, but there will also be a huge variety of food vendors, including Pinky’s Kitchen featuring their special Seafair BBQ Sauce.
There is plenty to do at during the day of course, but the real fun happens after it gets dark. The Seafair Summer Fourth will conclude with a fantastic fireworks show! At 10:15 p.m. Total Experience Gospel Choir will perform America the Beautiful and the National Anthem. Following, three Howitzer cannons will fire to start the much-anticicpated fireworks show. The fireworks will start at 10:20 p.m. and will last about 20 minutes. WARM 106.9 FM will broadcast the synchronized fireworks show soundtrack featuring many Seattle artists including Pearl Jam, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Heart, Jimi Hendrix and more! This year you can purchase priority seating for the show if you want to make sure and get the best view.
